Kim Cattrall
Kim Victoria
Cattrall (born 21 August 1956) is a British and Canadian actress from Canada
and Britain. She is best known for her part as Samantha Jones on HBO's Sex and
the City (1998-2004), for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and
four Golden Globe Award nominations, winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best
Supporting Actress. She reprised the role in the films Sex and the City (2008)
and Sex and the City 2 (2010). Cattrall first appeared in Rosebud (1975) before
she was able to take on various roles in television. In the 1980s, Cattrall
soared to prominence with films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy
(1984) and Hold-Up (1985). She was also in City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in
Little China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight Crossing (1988)
and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). Tribute (1980), Porky's (81) as well
as Turk 182(85) and Baby Geniuses (999) were only a few occasions she
co-starred with Bob Clark. Other credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities
(1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above
Suspicion (95), and 15 Minutes (192001).
