Jessica Steen
Canadian actor
Jessica Steen can be seen in television and film. She is most well-known for
her work in the series Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future as well as
Earth 2, Armageddon and Left Behind World at War and also NCIS, Flashpoint, and
the CBC series Heartland. Jessica Steen was the daughter of Joanna Noyes (an
actress) and Jan Steen (an actor and director and actor). Steen is Scottish and
Dutch-American. Steen is, in addition to her acting career, is an environmentalist
and an advocate for animal rights. Steen is a supporter of David Suzuki, the
World Society for the Protection of Animals as well as the Western Canadian
Wilderness Committee. Steen is a certified diver and has learned a variety of
circus arts, such as stilt-walking and fire-twirling. Steen aged eight years
old, co-starring with her mother on The Sun runners, a Canadian children's
television series. She was Tracy Gordon, Tracy's daughter, in the TV film Young
Again (1986). She was the sole female character on the one-year-old syndicated
show Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future in 1987. In 1988, she was
nominated for the Gemini Award in "Best Performance by an Actress in a
Continuous Tragic role" category. She was Tracy Steel's character on the
show THE WISEGUY in 1987. In the musical film Sing, Steen made her big screen
debut in 1989.
